In the scorching hot deserts of the world, water is a precious and scarce resource.
Many communities in these areas struggle to access clean water for drinking, cooking, and bathing.
But a new invention has the potential to change that.
A device has been created that can extract 10 gallons of water a day from dry desert air.
The device is a small box that can be easily transported and placed in any desert location.
It works by using a process called adsorption to pull water molecules from the air.
Essentially, the device is able to attract water molecules to its surface and then collect them as they condense.
